105.7 The Fan is proud to team up with The Fuel Fund of Maryland for the 2010 Warmathon, happening February 22 to the 26!
All week long we will be asking listeners to help their neighbors by donating to the Fuel Fund of Maryland. The Warmathon will be spearheaded by 105.7 The Fan’s Ed Norris. Ed is very excited about supporting the Fuel Fund of Maryland for a few reasons:
1) As the former Police Commissioner he was called to the scene of many fires due to the resident using a stove or other item to heat their home because they could no longer afford oil for their home.
2) During his time in law enforcement he has seen families displaced from their homes because they had to choose between food or paying the utility bill. This decision has caused kids to be pulled out of schools, families splitting up in to shelters or having to live with other relatives in other states or live on the streets.
Ed feels that every little bit will help and strongly encourages Baltimore residents to donate, because you just may be helping your neighbor, friend, co-worker or relative avoid homelessness. Nonpayment of energy bills is the number two reason people lose their homes.
So please tune in February 22 to the 26 to make your donation either by phone or online!
